Use

You run the Provider Report for Flexible Benefits GB to output plan participation data and other relevant employee data on a given date to external benefits providers. This output can also be downloaded into an Excel format, or saved as a temporary sequential(TemSe) file as required.

The provider report is essential for any organisation offering benefits to their employees, as the provision of information to benefits providers completes the enrolment process and ensures the coverage selected is operational from the plan's effective date.

All benefits providers require a summary report following enrolment, containing a list of all employees who have selected the given Flexible Benefit. However, some providers require a complete list per given period, or at least require that provider-related data be available on demand from an organisation with whom they work. However, the type of information required by benefits providers varies depending on the nature of the benefit. For example, insurance providers require different information from health-related providers. The common report format that providers can work with is Excel, so it is fundamental that any report run for a provider can be downloaded into this file format.

The Provider Report for Flexible Benefits GB provides features to meet the above provider information requirements.

Report RPUFBN71 can be run via ABAP reporting or by using the transaction HRFBNPROVIDER .

Prerequisites

For Flexible Benefits GB insurance plans, report RPUFBN71 reads the relevant data from the infotype Family Member/Dependant (0021) record.

In order that this report can read infotype 0021, you must perform the Benefits Administration IMG step, under: Flexible AdministrationMaintain Dependent-Relevant Information for Provider Report (FLEX) to specify which type of family member is covered in the insurance plan as a dependant.

You enter in this field the date for which you wish to output provider data.

Selection Group Box

Use this group box to specify your required report selection criteria.

Additional Information Group Box

Set the indicators Health Plans , Insurance Plans and Miscellaneous Plans to output provider data for these plans as required.

Set the indicator Test run if you wish to run report in test mode. In test mode, no TemSe files are generated. Otherwise, you should indicate a TemSe file index number which will form part of the TemSe file name. This TemSe file can be used later as a comparison file, when you want to display only changes.

Set the indicator Changes only if you wish to display only changes made to records. If you set this indicator, you must also specify a comparison TemSe file index number. The report will then generate the changes by comparison with this TemSe file.

Set the indicator Also display comparison data if you wish to identify which data has changed since the last run of the report.

You determine the exact data to be included in the provider report by choosing the Field Selection option and specifying your required data for output.

Persons Covered by Policy

You select which data is to be included in the report depending on which provider you are running the report for. The selection screens can then be saved as variants for future use. You can choose to display either all relevant data or only those records that have been changed since a specified report date. For example, you may want to send a full set of data to the provider initially, and subsequently communicate updates only.

You can also save the result data to TemSe files to log changes to the relevant data.

Output

The Provider Report for Flexible Benefits GB is outputted in an ABAP List Viewer (ALV) format. You can also download the report output into an Excel or TemSe format, as previously described.

Activities

  1. Choose the Provider Report for Flexible Benefits GB.

The selection screen for this report appears.

  1. Enter the ID of the benefits provider for whom you wish to generate provider data, in the field Provider .
  2. In the field Report Date , enter the date for which you wish to output provider data
  3. Specify your required report selection criteria using the Selection group box.
  4. Set the indicators Health Plans , Insurance Plans and Miscellaneous Plans to output provider data for these plans as required.
  5. Set the indicator Test run as required,
  6. Set the Changes only indicator as required.
  7. Set the Also display comparison data indicator as required.
  8. Determine the exact data to be included in your provider report by choosing the Field Selection option and specifying your required data for output.
  9. Execute report RPUFBN71.
