Passwords
Structure
You must observe the following guidelines for passwords:- It must contain at least three characters.
- You can use a combination of alphanumeric characters. These include:
- Letters from a to z
- Numbers from 0 to 9
- Punctuation marks
- Question marks
- Exclamation points
- Spaces
- Three identical characters
Example: bbbat
- String of three characters contained in your user ID
Example: man, if your user ID is Friedeman.
- pass or init as a password
- one of the last five passwords you used
Passwords are case sensitive.
Example: Password blue is not the same as Blue oer BLUE.As you enter your password, the asterisks remain in the field and only the cursor moves. For security reasons the system does not display what you enter.

Changing Passwords
For security reasons your system administrator may stipulate that you change your password regularly, for example every 30 days. In this case you will receive a notification from the SAP system when you have to change your password.
You can change your password only on the logon screen.
