In this way the list is displayed in one step grouped according to the the column (or columns).

You can also introduce a grouping to the list without selecting individual columns:

  1. Choose Group.

  2. In the following dialog box, on the right-hand side you are offered all of the possible columns for a grouping. Acceopt all required columens to the selection list on the left side.

  3. Using both of the selection buttons Sort Ascending and Sort Descending you can decide here about the column display.

  4. You finally decide using the Group Column checkbox if the sorted entries are to be displayed as groups or not:

    Display as ungrouped, sorted list:

    Display as grouped list:

The list content is still displayed as a whole sorted according to the criteria that you have defined

The list content is summarized according to the elements of the column that you have selected for the grouping. A header row is added for all elements of the grouping colums in which the number of the list lines that are below it is specified.

By clicking on the relevant header row you open the node and all list elements are displayed for the grouping element.

  5. Confirm the dialog box.

Grouping with Formation of Subtotals

The result of this procedure corresponds to the Formation of Subtotals.

If you want to use the function Group with the formation of subtotals, you can first form a Total for one of more columns. You can only form the total after the grouping. The whole total is then also formed and displayed for every group header row.

The procedure corresponds more exactly to the simple grouping (see above).
