Generating Associations from Metadata

Prerequisites

  • You’ve uploaded a structure with which to make associations.

  • You’ve selected your required source object in the Visualization Browser.

Your scene contains metadata.

Context

The workflow for this method is as follows:

  1. Select a new structure to associate

  2. Enter the new structure details

  3. Create a new structure.

  4. Select to generate from metadata.

  5. Select the metadata field name

Procedure

  1. Click then choose on the Visualization card.

    The Associations wizard opens.

  2. Choose New Structure to create a structure with which to associate your object and click Step 2.

    The New Structure Details window displays.

  3. Provide a name, ID, and optional version, for the structure being created, then click Step 3.

    The Create New Structure window opens.

  4. Choose Generate from Metadata.
  5. Click Step 4.

    The Generate Structure using Metadata Values window opens.

  6. Click the arrow on Metadata Field Name, navigate to, and select your required metadata, then click Generate.

    The tree is created.

  7. Click Finish.

    The selected association list opens in the Association Structure panel. The Structure Browser displays the objects.
