Navigate to the previous screen where you can change one or both the current selection of product structures to make a comparison.

Compare Nodes

Displays a comparison of the two selected components of both the structures. It shows the differences or similarities in value of the attributes. Any differences are highlighted in orange color.

View thumbnails next to the BOM components in a product structure.

You can use this option to add an additional column in the Structure Comparison table that displays the thumbnails. If a BOM component doesn't have an image set to display as a thumbnail, then the thumbnail icon is displayed.

Comparison Results

The comparison results are the outcome of the comparison done between two structures and on the attributes (comparison parameters) chose by you. The result types are:
  • Unique is shown when the node is only part of one structure and doesn’t exist in another structure. When comparing structures, the system firsts detects if there's a corresponding node in Structure 1 and 2. If a match between two structures isn't detected, then that node is shown as Unique.

  • Difference is shown when there's a difference in value for the attributes being compared. After the system detects that the node is existing in both the structures, it analyzes if the value of the attributes that you've chosen to compare are different or similar. If there's difference in value, the comparison results are shown as Difference.

  • Similar is shown when value for the attributes being compared, are same. After the system detects that the node is existing in both the structures, it analyzes if the value of the attributes that you've chosen to compare are different or similar. If there are no differences in the values, the comparison results are shown as Similar.
