Using a Mapping to Add Metadata and Usage IDs to a 3D Object

Context

You can use a mapping to simplify the assignment of usage IDs and metadata.

In the Business Data panel, you can use pre-defined mapping and external data source information to add usage ID and metadata for an object or hotspot.

You can edit a mapping in the Business Data panel by selecting Manage Mapping Rules.

Procedure

  1. Select an object.
  2. In the Business Data panel, select a mapping and click Fetch. The data is displayed in the Business Data panel.
  3. Select an item of data and use drag and drop to place a marker on an object or hotspot.
