The Content Area has these components:

Components

Component

Description

Destination Folder

Displays the name of the selected folder where the imported BOMs are saved.

Source System

Displays the selected S/4HANA or ERP system from which the BOMs are being imported or synchronized.

Import

Once you've selected the BOMs from the search results that you want to import or synchronize, choose Import to start the import process.

Once the import is successful, the Synchronized status is shown for the BOM. A BOM displays the Synchronized status also when it has been previously synchronized or imported.

(Settings)

The Settings button opens the View Settings window that lets you determine which details to display about the products that are listed in search results.

Search Results

Once you've entered keywords or specified search criteria using the search filters, the matching search results are displayed.

The search results are displayed in a tabular form along with details such as Product Description, Plant, BOM Usage, and more. The Status column indicates whether the import is successful.

Synchronization Status

The Synchronization Status column in the search results table displays the state of the import process.

Once the import of BOMs is initiated from a source system, following statuses are shown:
  • Pending is when the import request was sent to the server to import a BOM and the import hasn't started yet.

  • Running is when the import or synchronization is in progress.

  • Completed-Synchronized is when the import for a BOM or the synchronization of an Enterprise Product Structure BOM with the source system's BOM is successfully completed.

  • Completed-Failed is when the import or synchronization is completed but is unsuccessful.

Change Status

The Change Status column in the search results table displays the state of the BOMs. It highlights if a BOM has been created or changed by comparing the records of the BOM in SAP Integrated Product Development and the source system since the last time it was synced.

The statuses displayed in the column are as follows:
  • Latest is when the BOM is in sync with SAP Integrated Product Development and the source system.

  • Out of Sync is when the BOM has been synchronized to SAP Integrated Product Development but has changed in the source system.

  • Changed is when the BOM has been synchronized with SAP Integrated Product Development but has changed in SAP Integrated Product Development.

  • Conflicting is when the BOM has been synchronized to SAP Integrated Product Development but has changed in both SAP Integrated Product Development and the source system.

  • The Change Status column displays an empty status when the BOM doesn't exist in SAP Integrated Product Development but exists in the source system.
