Stepwise Tagging Instead of creating several work clearance documents , you can also group items in a work clearance document for switching. This grouping is called an operational step. We distinguish between the following operational steps:
Operational step for tagging
Operational step for untagging
In work clearance management, the following stipulations have been added to approvals :
The switching of an operational step is only possible if the assigned approval has been issued for the operational step.
An approval cannot be issued until the assigned operational step has been performed.
Note
Approvals can be assigned automatically based on operational steps.
In Customizing for
Work Clearance Management
you have defined the following under
Operational Steps
:
Under
Define Operational Steps
, you have defined which operational steps you want to use.
Under
General Settings
, you have defined in which planning plant you use operational steps.
The progress in the operational cycle is also displayed for each individual operational step.
When you process an operational step, status PROC (Processing) is set automatically. As soon as you have completed processing, status PROC (Processing) is revoked automatically.
You can also assign operational steps to a WCM-relevant operation .
Create a work clearance document with several items.
Group the items for switching. In other words, assign both an operational step for tagging and an operational step for untagging to each item.
When you set status PREP (Prepared) for the work clearance document, the system generates the required operational steps.
Note
Once the steps have been generated, only these steps can be extended. You can assign further items to these steps. However, it is not possible to add new steps to the work clearance document.
