Providing Templates
Context
You can provide the following types of templates in folders:

Templates for documents
Users can create documents based on these templates, such as meeting minutes or presentations.

Templates for folders
Users can create entire folder structures based on these templates. These folder structures can contain document templates.
Procedure

Create your templates.

Optional: Group together related templates.
For more information, see Creating Template Groups .

Assign your templates to folders.
To allow users to use a template, you must activate the template in the folder in question. You can also activate a template group in a folder to provide all templates that the group contains.

Open the Details dialog box for the folder that is to provide the templates.

Choose .

Choose individual templates, a group of templates, or both.

Results
To use a template to create a document, choose .
The system generates a copy of the template. The system also copies the template properties, but not the permissions. Subsequent changes to the template do not affect the copy.
