Account Assignment Determination As the ERP account assignment elements are not known in the CRM system, they must be derived from the CRM data. To this end, Grantor Management (GM- GTR ) includes transaction GTRDERIVE, a derivation tool you can use to derive CO/FI data from CRM data.

If Funds Management (FM) is active in your system and you use the budget encumbrance function, the FM assignments must be derived from the CO/FI data available after you have run transaction GTRDERIVE. Use transaction FMDERIVE to do this.

The following scenarios might then arise:
The desired account assignments have been derived and the budget encumbrance function is in use, earmarked funds documents are enhanced accordingly. When the open items are created, the following steps are carried out:
Open items are enhanced, based on the earmarked funds items.
FM account assignment derivation (FMDERIVE) is carried out again and the content of the following fields is updated:
G/L Account
Commitment Item
Functional Area
The content of other fields is not changed.
The cleared items are on the basis of the open items. Account assignment derivation is not repeated.
The desired account assignments have been derived and the budget encumbrance function is not in use.
The o pen items are enhanced accordingly. The cleared items are enhanced on the basis of the open items. Account assignment derivation is not repeated.
