GM-GTE Master Data Customizing: Sponsored Class/Sponsored Program Sponsored classes are used to group expenses and revenues together by type of financial transaction to satisfy a sponsor’s reporting requirements. Sponsored programs group these sponsored class balances together by specific purposes, determined by the sponsor.
Authorization groups are used to group grants and other Grantee Management (GM-GTE) objects together for authorization purposes. You need to do this for sponsored classes and programs. You can also specify text descriptions (text IDs) for the classes/programs.
To configure sponsored classes and programs, go to the GM-GTE part of Customizing and choose .
The
Change View: “Grants Management: Authorization Group Maintenance”: Overview
screen appears.
Enter an identifier and descriptive text for the desired group(s).
Save your entries.
In addition, you need to enter text IDs for both sponsored programs and sponsored classes. To do this, choose the step
Maintain Text ID for Sponsored Class/Program
.
Choose
New Entries
and enter the object, a four-character ID, and a descriptive text of up to 30 characters for each new text ID.
Save your entries.
You can now group objects together by entering the relevant class and/or program in their master data. You can also enter texts for them.
