Connecting to BW Systems

On the Metadata Extractions page, you can create a connection for a BW system (SAP BW∕4HANA, SAP BW 7.5, or SAP Datasphere, SAP BW bridge) to the catalog. By connecting to the catalog, objects in the BW systems become available for discovery in the catalog.

Make sure that your BW system is ready to be connected to the catalog by checking that certain setup activities have already been completed. For example, the BW system connection to SAP Datasphere has been configure correctly and that you have a user account with the appropriate access permissions.
