Assigning Line Items to Correction Objects You can use this function to assign all postings and data, which should be considered together for input tax correction, to a correction object.
The correction object, to which line items are assigned, is needed for the following processes:
Input Tax Distribution:
You can specify in Customizing that the correction object is used instead of the original account assignment object as the source of the option rate for input tax distribution.
Regardless of the source object for the option rate, the system uses the date of service for determining the option rate, provided a date of service was entered.
The system can also perform input tax distribution using a different option rate, which you enter manually.
Input Tax Correction:
The system uses the option rates of the assigned correction object for input tax correction.
You made settings in Customizing for all the functions of input tax correction. For more information, see Executing Input Tax Corrections .
You entered a correction object and created documents.
Based on the original account assignment and the date of service, the system determines the possible assignments to a correction object for the selected set of line items. The system displays a list of the items, where you can manually change the assignments and save the list.
The system then proposes a correction object for the assignment, if the following conditions are met:
The account assignment object of the line item (only for genuine account assignment) is specified on the correction object as an allowed original account assignment.
The date of service entered in the line item is within the time interval defined on the correction object.
In the area menu for input tax correction (REITMENUTC), choose
Specify the line items you want to select. You can also enter the account assignment object on which the documents were posted.
Enter the following in the
Assignment
group box, and execute the report:
If only those postings should be selected that are not yet assigned to a correction object
If postings where the
Not Relevant for Input Tax Correction
indicator is set should also be selected
If the system should determine a proposal for the assignment before the list is created
The resulting list shows the important document data.
You can change the following data for the input correction, either individually or using mass processing. You can also assign this data to a line item at a later point:
Correction object
Date of service
Different option rate
Indicator for whether the line item normally has to be corrected
