Editing Participation Groups You use this function to create, change, and display participation groups with the following object types:
Business entity
Building
Property
Rental objects
Participation group
Participation groups can be created with a limited or unlimited period of validity. The validity period for the assignment of individual objects can likewise be limited or unlimited.
You can only change assignments for time periods where there have been no settlements on settlement units using the participation group.
In the SAP menu, choose:
For an accessible version of
Create Participation Group
, use transaction RESCPG.
Prior to assigning a unique name to the participation group, note the following:
If the participation group is valid for a
limited period
, enter the period in the
Valid From
and
To
fields.
If the participation group is
valid for an unlimited period
, leave the
Valid From
and
To
fields blank.
The fields for validity refer to the validity period of the participation group, regardless of the assignment of the settlement unit.
Assign the objects on the Assigned Objects tab page. Note the following:
If you assign an object above the level of the rental object (such as building, pooled space, or another participation group), all lower-level objects are automatically assigned as well. You can also exclude lower-level objects from the assignment. For example, say you assigned a building but want to assign one or more rental units from that building to another participation group. To do this, you insert the rental unit in the assignment table and select the
Exclude
indicator.
If you assign a pooled space, all lower-level rental spaces are automatically assigned as well. If you only want to assign the vacant area of the pool, set the
PS Only
indicator.
You can use a participation group in as many settlement units of the same business entity as required. Consequently, a change to the assignment of the objects in one participation group then applies to all settlement units.
You can change a participation group directly or within the settlement unit to which it is assigned.
