Creating a Contract

You can use this function to create a contract for an RE search request or to convert a contract offer that was accepted by the prospect into a contract.

Prerequisites

You created a contract offer and it was accepted by the prospect.

Procedure

In the RE Navigator (RE80), choose Object Overview. In the dropdown list, choose either RE Search Request or Offered Object. Start the search.

Proceed as follows:
- To create a contract for a rental object, select the rental object in the hit list on the Search tab page.
- To convert an accepted contract offer into a contract, open the contract offer. In the hit list, click on the contract offer number on the Search tab page.
Choose (Create Contract).
(Optional) A dialog box appears if the rental object is still shown as leased out on the date requested for the start of the contract and the current tenant has informed you of a requested notice date, which differs from the notice date in the contract and is before the start date requested by the new prospective tenant.
In this dialog box, you can adjust the notice date of the existing contract to agree with the start date of the new contract.

Choose (Adjust Notice Date).
The Create Real Estate Contract screen appears.
Enter the relevant data and choose Continue.

The screen for the real estate contract appears with the following contract data:
- If you are creating a contract for a rental object, then the fields for the contract data are empty. Enter the contract data.
- If you are converting a contract offer into a contract, then you see the contract data that the system copied from the contract offer.
Save and activate the contract.

Result

You have created a new contract.
