Reminders You use this function to define reminder dates, on which real estate objects are checked and submitted for continued processing.
SAP delivers commonly used reminder rules. However, you can also define your own rules in Customizing and implement them using the Business Add-In RECA_RESUBMISSION.
For new reminder rules, you need to perform the following Customizing activities:
Define Reminder Categories
(optional)
Define Reminder Rules
Make Settings per Object Type
(to assign reminder rules and reminder categories to individual object types)
Implement Enhancements (BAdI)
(to implement reminder rules)
This function is available in the RE Navigator for the following object types:
Real estate contract
Business entity
Land
Building
Rental object
Architectural object
Participation groups
Settlement units
Comparative groups of apartments
In the
Settings per Object Type
IMG activity, you can
deactivate
the reminders function for specific object types.
You can create and display dates for reminders:
Reminderstab page to have the system create reminder dates.

Reminderswith the quick info text
Remindersin the navigation area of the RE Navigator (
Menu
Utilities
Settings). In the browser area, the system then lists all dates for all object types, for which a reminder date is scheduled. You can also edit the dates there.
Note
You can filter the list in many ways. In the standard system, you are shown all dates that are open for you in the coming seven days (that is, dates not specified as
completed
), regardless of the reminder category.
You are processing a real estate object and are on the
Reminders
tab page.
To assign a reminder rule, choose
with the quick info text
Create Reminder Rule
.
Note
A reminder date is always based on a reminder rule. The reminder date cannot be entered on its own.
The parameters (reminder category, start and end date where applicable) for the reminder rule appear in the upper table. You can change these parameters by choosing
Parameters
.
The reminder dates that are generated from the reminder rule are displayed with their status in the lower table (see the Processing Status section below). For periodic reminder rules without an end date, the system generates dates for the next five years (see the Subsequent Generation of Reminder Dates section below).
You can set the dates to
Completed
and
Fixed
(see below) and where necessary undo both settings.
You can filter the display in many ways. In the standard system, only open dates are displayed. However, you can also choose to display all dates or just the completed (already processed) dates.
Caution
If a change to the list of dates results in a date no longer being in that list, then the system deletes the date if it is open (standard setting). To prevent the open date from being deleted in this way, you can fix the date by setting the
Fixed Date
indicator.
Note
In the standard system, each reminder date is also entered in the
Appointment Calendar
in the navigation area of the RE Navigator. However, you can deactivate this setting for each given reminder rule in Customizing. Note that any date set to
Completed
is deleted from the appointment calendar, even if it has been fixed!

.
The processing status informs you about how soon the dates are scheduled, or if they are past or completed:
Date is already in the past.
Date is today or falls within the next seven days.
Date is more than a week away (in eight days or later).
Date has been completed.
Note
In the standard system, completed dates are not displayed. If you want to display completed dates, select the filter criterion
Completed Only
or
Open and Completed
.
You can create a note for any date by choosing
with the quick info text
Change Note
or by double-clicking the date. The beginning of the text that was entered in the text editor is displayed in the
Note
field. You can only change the note by choosing
with the quick info text
Change Note
again or by double-clicking (see above). The complete versions of longer notes can be displayed by choosing
with the quick info text
Display Note
.
