Non Repudiation

Use

SAP NetWeaver Mobile provides security against repudiation. Whenever the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) receives messages from a mobile client, the DOE checks the following details:

  • User logged on to the device

  • User that has modified the data in the local database

If either of the details above are not valid, then it is a case of repudiation. For this security incident, the administrator can set the security configurations (severity level and security level) in the DOE.

Severity Level

For non repudiation, you can set a severity level. The severity level determines the status that has to be displayed in the administrator inbox when the client reports non repudiation. Following are the three severity levels that can be set:

  • Fatal (F)- The log display status is set to red.

  • Warning (W) -The log display status is set to yellow.

  • Information (S) - The log display status is set to green.
