Creating Priority Modes

Use

You can create priority modes using the Mode Maintenance tool, either from the beginning or using an existing priority mode template.

Procedure

Creating a Priority Mode from the Beginning
  1. Open the Mode Maintenance tool .

  2. Right-click the Site entity and choose Create Mode from the pop-up menu.

    The Mode Creation dialog box appears.

  3. Enter an ID, short text and long text for the new priority mode.

  4. Choose Enter .

  5. Save your changes.

Creating a Priority Mode from an Existing Mode
  1. Open the Mode Maintenance tool .

  2. Right-click a Mode entity and choose Copy Mode from the pop-up menu.

    The Mode Copy dialog box appears, with the details of the existing priority mode to be copied appearing in the relevant fields.

  3. Enter an ID, short text and long text for the new priority mode.

  4. Choose Enter .

  5. Save your changes.

Result

An entity representing the new priority mode appears, with the mode ID and short text displayed. Pointing the mouse on the entity displays the long text, both as a tool tip and in the bottom status bar.

If you created a priority mode from the beginning, you must now enter weighting factors .

If you created the priority mode from an existing mode, you can modify the weighting factors that have been inherited from the oldpriority mode.
