Canada Tax

 

This service enables the employees in your enterprise to display tax details. These tax details include employee-specific allowances used for calculating tax during payroll and also data used in generation of tax reports. In this way, employees can ensure that the information is correct.

If an employee uses this Employee Self-Service to display his or her tax details based on previous pay date, Next pay date and As on date.

Features

Prerequisites

An employee must have an SAP user that is directly linked to their SAP employee master data in the Communication infotype (0105) subtype 0001.

The employee must have the following infotype records:

  • Tax Assignment CA infotype (0461)

  • Provinces Tax CA infotype (0462)

  • Federal Tax CA infotype (0463)

  • Additional Tax Data CA infotype (0464)

Activities

  • Access your company intranet and choose the ESS for Canada Taxes. The system displays the Canadian Taxes screen.

  • Selection section, enter or select:

    • As on last pay date

    • As on next pay date

    • As on the date for which you want to display the tax details

  • Select Display.

    The system displays the following as per your selection:

    • Basic Tax data, which includes Province of employment and Province of residence

    • • Federal details, provincial details and exemptions

Result

The system displays the following:

  • Header information

    The system reads this information from Tax Assignment CA infotype (0461) records.

  • Federal tax information

    The system reads this information from Federal Tax CA infotype (0463) (0462) records.

  • Province of Employment tax information

    The system reads this information from Provinces Tax CA infotype records.

  • Exemptions information

    The system reads this information from Additional Tax Data CA infotype (0464) records.
