Create DBCON Database Connection

This step is a cross-client activity that can be performed in any active client within the system where SAP Profitability and Performance Management is installed. In SAP Profitability and Performance Management there are certain namespaces that must be set to modifiable. To do this, follow the procedure below.

The database connection name has to be specified within the environment settings in SAP Profitability and Performance Management. The database connection name used within the delivered sample content is “DBCON”. To ensure that the activation of the sample content is successful, we recommend you to create a database connection with the same name.

To do this, the following procedure in any active client of a system where SAP Profitability and Performance Management is installed must be activated:

  1. Call up transaction Start of the navigation pathdbacockpit Next navigation step Database ConnectionEnd of the navigation path.
