Creating Triggering Events

Procedure

You maintain the triggering events on the tab page Triggering Events.

Identify the event by specifying its object type category, its object type, and its instance ID. The event must be defined for this object type.

Note

If you are looking at a task in display mode, whose original system is not the current system, you can create additional triggering events. This creates an extension of the task definition.
To activate the type linkage, select in the column . Active type linkages are denoted by .
To define the binding from the event container, select the relevant event line and choose . For more information, see Binding Definitions from Event Container.
Select the triggering event and choose . The properties of the type linkage are displayed and can be changed.

The workflow system creates an appropriate type linkage. For more information on linkage transport, see Transport and Client Copy.
