Evaluation Part in All Approval Workflows

Use

An evaluation is performed in all approval procedures once a decision has been made. This evaluation establishes whether the request (the object to be approved) was rejected or approved, and then exports this information in a standard return code.

The step Evaluate approval step checks whether the approval has been granted or not.

• If the object is approved

  • The container element Result is set to A for approved.

  • An address is established from the user name of the workflow initiator of the approval procedure (container element _WF_Initiator)

  • The workflow initiator is notified by e-mail

• If the object is rejected, the workflow initiator should have the option of deleting it or revising it in order to resubmit it. The initiator decides in a user decision whether they want to delete or revise the object.

Depending on the decision made, the container element Result is assigned the value E for edit or D for delete.
