Maintaining Views

Prerequisites

A view is always based on an evaluation path. This evaluation path describes which relationships are traced from the user who wants to adopt the view to the users whose Business Workplaces can be viewed.

You can use one of the evaluation paths available in the system. If there are no suitable evaluation paths, you can define an evaluation path of your own.

Procedure


  1. To call table maintenance for views, choose Start of the navigation pathTools Next navigation step Business Workflow Next navigation step Development Next navigation step Definition Tools Next navigation step Worklist Client Next navigation step Maintain ViewsEnd of the navigation path.

    This displays the screen Change View "View for Maintaining Views": Overview.

  2. Create a new view. To do this, choose the function New Entries.

  3. Assign a unique name to the view.

  4. Specify an evaluation path.

  5. Describe the view with a long text.

  6. Specify a start evaluation path.

    This is an optional selection. The start evaluation path is used to get an initial selection of objects, which is then evaluated further via the first evaluation path.

  7. Choose Save.
