Create Broker Hierarchy

Use

Use a broker hierarchy to process a group or organization of brokers.

Prerequisites

You have created brokers and broker contracts.

Procedure

  1. Create an organizational structure.

  2. In the SAP Easy Access Menu , choose Start of the navigation path Insurance Next navigation step Collections/Disbursements Next navigation step Broker Collections Next navigation step Broker Hierarchy Next navigation step Create Broker Hierarchy End of the navigation path .

    Enter a short and a long text for the new organizational unit in the detail area.

  3. Build a hierarchy for organizational units. Position the cursor on an organizational unit that has already been created in the organizational structure, under which the new unit is to be created.

  4. Choose Create.

    Enter a short and a long text for the new organizational unit in the detail area.

  5. Assign responsible processing clerks to an organizational unit. Choose Start of the navigation path Insurance Next navigation step Collections/Disbursements Next navigation step Broker Collections Next navigation step Broker Hierarchy Next navigation step Links to Hierarchy End of the navigation path .

  6. This link determines which organizational unit a processing clerk sees in the Broker’s Desktop .

    Enter the key for the root node in your organizational structure.

    Select the info category description for Links .

    Choose Create.

    Enter the following data:

    - Link type/link: A 292

    - Category for the linked object: User

    - ID for the linked object: <ID for processing clerk>

    Save your entries.

  7. Assign brokers with broker contracts to organizational units.

As a rule, this link is only made on the lowest hierarchy level.

Choose Start of the navigation path Insurance Next navigation step Collections/Disbursements Next navigation step Broker’s Desktop End of the navigation path .

This takes you to the initial screen for the Broker’s Desktop.

Choose Employee .

Select a broker hierarchy.

Choose Add broker .

Enter the required data.

Result

You have created a broker hierarchy and assigned it to processing clerks and brokers.
