Release individual projects once they are finished.
Prerequisites
If your project contains an automation and you have tested the automation, your desktop agent is in Test mode. Restart your desktop agent to end Test mode and run automations.
Procedure
You release a project from the project Overview or in the process editor.
In the Overview page of your project, choose Release.
In the Release Project screen, enter a version number.
When you release a project for the first time, the version number is automatically set to 1.0.0.
When you release a modified version of a project that is already released, select one of the following:
Contains only patches to indicate bug fixes. It updates the third digit of the version number.
Contains minor changes to indicate small modifications. It updates the second digit of the version number.
Contains significant changes which may impact dependent projects to indicate important changes that could result in incompatibility between versions.
The first digit of the version number is updated.
You can add a note to your new project version in the Release Notes section. The notes can help indicate the differences between the versions of a project. You can add different notes for each project version.
Optional: Select the Optimize for faster execution checkbox for projects that have the dependency SAP WebGUI SDK to enable faster execution of this dependency.
Choose Release.
While the project is being released, you can access the project version that is being released in read-only mode.
If necessary, you can choose Stop Releasing to cancel the release. You can then return to the editable version of the project.
Results
When the project is released a message is displayed with a link to the released project version. You can also navigate to the released version from the dropdown menu.
