Use SAP Build Process Automation, Foundation Add-On by UiPath

Set up SAP Build Process Automation, foundation add-on by UiPath so that you can create automations using UiPath.

Prerequisites

You have a license for the SAP Solution Extension SAP Build Process Automation, foundation add-on by UiPath. For information about the solution extension, contact your local sales representative.

Once the contract for the SAP Solution Extension has been completed, you have the following:

An SAP BTP global account that includes the addon entitlement for the SAP Build Process Automation, foundation add-on by UiPath.
An SAP Cloud Identity Services tenant.
Administrator access to the SAP Cloud Identity Services tenant.
A UiPath Organization ID.
A UiPath SAML metadata URL.

Context

To use SAP Build Process Automation, foundation add-on by UiPath with SAP Build Process Automation, you need to configure SAP Cloud Identity Services as an identity provider. To configure the identity provider and establish the connection to your UiPath tenant, follow the configuration steps listed below in the specified order.

How you start the process depends on whether or not you already have a subscription to SAP Build Process Automation.

If you do not have a subscription to SAP Build Process Automation, you need to first subscribe to SAP Build Process Automation. We recommend you subscribe using the SAP Build Process Automation service booster. You can also use the booster to set up the SAP Build Process Automation, foundation add-on by UiPath even if you already have an existing SAP Build Process Automation subscription.

If you do not use the booster and subscribe to SAP Build Process Automation manually, you need to complete some extra steps:

Select the addon entitlement in the process-automation service plan in the Entitlements for your subaccount.
Establish trust between your SAP Build Process Automation subaccount and SAP Cloud Identity Services.

Procedure

Subscribe to SAP Build Process Automation. We recommend using the SAP Build Process Automation service booster. For more information, see Subscribe to SAP Build Process Automation.

The service booster completes steps 1 to 7 automatically. After you have installed the booster, continue with step 8.
Add the addon entitlement for the process-automation service plan to your subaccount. For more information, see Assign Entitlements for SAP Build Process Automation, foundation add-on by UiPath.

This step is only required if you have not subscribed to SAP Build Process Automation using the SAP Build Process Automation service booster.
Establish trust between your SAP Build Process Automation subaccount and your SAP Cloud Identity Services tenant. For more information, see Establish Trust between SAP Cloud Identity Services and SAP Build Process Automation.

This step is only required if you have not subscribed to SAP Build Process Automation using the SAP Build Process Automation service booster.
Create user groups in SAP Cloud Identity Services. For more information, see Create User Groups in SAP Cloud Identity Services.
Add the user groups that you created to the role collections in your SAP BTP subaccount. For more information, see Add SAP Cloud Identity Services User Group to Role Collections for a SAP BTP Subaccount.
Create a system user in SAP Cloud Identity Services. For more information, see Create a System User in SAP Cloud Identity Services.
Create a destination in your SAP BTP subaccount to connect to SAP Cloud Identity Services. For more information, see Configure a Destination to connect to SAP Cloud Identity Services.
Configure SAP Cloud Identity Services as an identity provider for UiPath. For more information, see Configure SAP Cloud Identity Services as Identity Provider for UiPath.
Create your UiPath tenant. For more information, see Create a UiPath Tenant.
Run the Studio MSI installer to install UiPath Studio. For more information, see Install UiPath Studio.
