Reference Structure ADRC_STRUC

Use

Address data is stored in BAS in table ADRC. ADRC_STRUC is the reference structure of the postal data of this table. The meaning of most of the postal fields is explained in the documentation in the Data Dictionary.

Besides postal address attributes, the structure also contains fields for address coding. These fields are filled when the SAP regional structure is used and can, alternatively, be filled by the implementing layer of the business add-in. They are used to identify the city, street, and so on, language-independently and to differentiate recurring city names, and are analyzed in the quarterly adjustment, for example:

CITYH_CODE	12-character code for city name of city (different from postal city)

Note

The Check Status field has a special role. The checking software layer (SAP regional structure, partner solution, or customer solution) stores the check status of an address in this field. This information is used in the quarterly adjustment as well as in evaluation reports. Possible values are:

Value	Meaning
C	The address is checked and matches the reference data (C stands for "checked").
D	The address is checked and does not match the reference data. (D stands for "differing").
SPACE	The address is unchecked.

The status 'D' is useful in cases where an address is to be stored despite differing from the reference data currently used because, for example, the street is in a new development area and is not yet contained in the reference data.

The user makes the decision to transfer address data that does not match the reference data using an additional dialog in the dialog context.
