Configuring and Monitoring PCV
You can configure and monitor Product-Centric View (PCV).
You can use PCV with the predefined business content or with your own configuration for embedded business analytics. For more information, see Using PCV for Embedded Analytics.
You have the necessary authorizations, which are granted to you in one of the following ways:
In the Role Maintenance
(PFCG
) transaction, you are assigned to the PLM PCV Administrator
(SAP_PLMWUI_PCV_ADMIN
) role.
On the SAP NetWeaver Portal, you are assigned to the PCV Administrator
role.

Monitoring
PCV comes delivered with predefined business content for the analysis of materials (see SAP Business Content for the Analysis of Materials). You can enhance this standard content and configure PCV for your own business needs by defining meanings, read sequence, search connectors, queries, and previews for side panel.

You can monitor the following:
You can monitor the configuration of PCV by checking the consistency of its main business objects: search connectors, queries and query views.
You can monitor the use of PCV by analyzing the statistical information that the system collects about the execution and processing of queries.
