Function documentationDefinition of Previews for Side Panel

 

You can use this function to create, modify or delete previews from the preview list in the Previews tab page of the side panel in Product-Centric View (PCV). A preview list is a series of graphical or tabular representations of query view processing results displayed in the side panel. You can define different preview lists depending on the classification key.

Prerequisites

  • You have the necessary authorizations, which are granted to you in one of the following ways:

    • In the Role Maintenance (PFCG) transaction, you are assigned to the PLM PCV Standard User (SAP_PLMWUI_PCV_USER) or the PLM PCV Administrator (SAP_PLMWUI_PCV_ADMIN) role.

    • On the SAP NetWeaver Portal, you are assigned to the PCV Standard User or PLM PCV Administrator role.

  • You have defined query views that you want to use in a preview list along with their respective queries, or you use the ones predefined by SAP.

  • To define previews for the side panel, you have the following options:

    • On the Web user interface, choose Start of the navigation path PCV Administration Next navigation step Define Previews for the Side Panel End of the navigation path.
