Definition of Read Sequence
You can use this function to define the read sequence of the user interface of Product-Centric View (PCV). The read sequence defines the frequency and the time scale (seconds) the system retrieves query-related data from the back-end. You have to define a read sequence because the system handles multiple query processing asynchronously. You can define the read sequence for an area (classification key) and content type (side panel, view area, and dashboard). In the standard system, the default settings provide standard read sequences which you can adjust according to your needs. The read sequences for each classification key and content type are valid system-wide.

You have the necessary authorizations, which are granted to you in one of the following ways:
In the
Role Maintenance

) transaction, you are assigned to thePLM PCV Administrator
(SAP_PLMWUI_PCV_ADMIN
) role.On the SAP NetWeaver Portal, you are assigned to the
PCV Administrator
role.
You have set up query views and assigned them to the side panel, or you use the ones predefined by SAP. For more information, see Definition of Query Views.
