Using PCV for Embedded Analytics

You can use PCV to easily retrieve product-related information originating from various internal and external data sources. PCV provides analytical applications that are embedded and operate within the context of the business application you are working in. PCV enables you to effectively use analytical capabilities within the context of business objects, such as materials.

Prerequisites

You have the necessary authorizations, which are granted to you in one of the following ways:

In the Role Maintenance (PFCG) transaction, you are assigned to the PLM PCV User (SAP_PLMWUI_PCV_USER) role.
On the SAP NetWeaver Portal, you are assigned to the PCV User role.

In Customizing, choose Logistics - General Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) PLM Web User Interface Product-Centric View .
On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Product-Centric View.
On the Web user interface, choose Product-Centric View.
