Shipment Header

Definition

You use the shipment header to define processing parameters relevant to all of the document items. Default values for the header are taken from the Bulk Shipment Type .

The following information can be changed directly in the shipment header:

  • Reference document

  • Status and deadlines

  • Confirm balance load delivery

Structure

Reference Document

You can enter the number of a reference document in the shipment header. This number is used to identify the shipment in a third party system, such as a dispatch optimizer or a terminal automation system.

Status and Deadlines

In the shipment header you can set up planned dates and times for the start and end of scheduling, loading, and delivery confirmation. When the shipment is processed and the details for loading and discharge are recorded, the actual dates and times are recorded for the start and end of each process.

The status of shipment cost calculation is displayed in the shipment header. When a shipment cost document is created, the status of the corresponding shipment segment (header or stage) is set based on the calculation status of the shipment cost item. The shipment header displays the overall status of the shipment cost calculation for the shipment. The overall status is the sum of all other shipment statuses in the shipment header and shipment stages. The header also displays the status of shipment cost settlement and the total status of shipment cost settlement for the shipment.

Shipment Change History

You can use report ROIGCHGD at shipment header level to create a list of all changes that you have made to the shipment.

Reason Codes

During Scheduling, Loading Confirmation, and Delivery Confirmation, you can assign reason codes to a shipment to identify at what stage you made changes to the shipment. You enter the reason code in the Change reason field in the Shipment Header area. You define the reason codes in Customizing for Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) by choosing Start of the navigation path TD (Transportation and Distribution) Next navigation step TD Bulk Shipment Next navigation step Define TD reason codes. End of the navigation path
