Creating a Driver

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Sales and Next navigation step Distribution Next navigation step Bulk transportation Next navigation step Master data Next navigation step Driver Next navigation step Create End of the navigation path . This takes you to the initial screen for creating driver master data.

  2. Choose ENTER to access the Create Driver:Details screen.

  3. If you do not enter anything in the Driver number field on the initial screen, the system automatically generates a driver number when the master data record is saved.

    If you want to create a driver from driver master data which already exists, enter the number of the existing driver in the Driver number field of the Copy from... . area of the screen. The system copies the master data from the existing driver which you can then change when creating the new driver.

  4. Enter data as required in the Create Driver:Details screen:

  • Last name of the driver (required field)

  • First name of the driver

  • External personnel number

  • Driver status

  • Carrier

  1. Assign one or more license types and the corresponding license number to the driver. Enter the validity period of the license.

  2. The license types for a driver are the same as those assigned to a vehicle. In Customizing for IS Oil & Gas (Downstream) you can define license types by choosing Start of the navigation path TD (Transportation and Distribution) Next navigation step TD Master Data Next navigation step Define license types.   3. Enter the shift rota for the driver:

  • Enter the start date and the end date of the shift rota.

  • Enter the shift for the driver (for example Morning, Afternoon, Night).
