Creating a TU with Compartments and Meters

Prerequisites

After you have created a transport unit with loading capacity (for example trailers), you can assign compartments and meters.

Procedure

Creating Compartments

Compartments are an integral part of the transport unit and compartments and transport units are created with the same transaction.

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Sales and Next navigation step Distribution Next navigation step Bulk transportation Next navigation step Master data Next navigation step Transport unit Next navigation step Create End of the navigation path .

  2. In the Create Transport Unit: Details screen, choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Compartments End of the navigation path . This takes you to the screen for creating compartments.

  3. Enter the minimum and the maximum volumes for the compartments. Enter a short description, a compatibility group, and a loading sequence for the compartments during loading.

  4. Choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Details screen End of the navigation path to return to the details screen for the transport unit.

Assigning Meters

You can assign meters in the following way:

  1. From the Create Transport Unit: Details screen, choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Meters. End of the navigation path This takes you to the screen for meter assignment.

  2. Enter the number of the vehicle meter which you would like to assign.

  3. Choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Details screen End of the navigation path to return to the details screen for the transport unit.

  4. Save.
