Document Item Quantity Assignment

Use

In Document Item Quantity Assignment the system assigns discharge-relevant document items to the load-relevant document items for the selected vehicle based on the material information. The assignments which are displayed are proposals based on a First In First Out (FIFO) principle. The following applies:

  • The shipment must have reached shipment status 6.

  • The route is handled as a hierarchical shipment process.

  • Document item stage assignments are retrieved as part of the assignment process.

  • The material quantity of a load-relevant document item is, when possible, assigned to the first discharge-relevant document item found along the route with the same material. The system handles unassigned document quantities according to the following principles:

  • If shipment costing is based on loaded quantities, unassigned loaded quantities (lost or left-on-vehicle quantities) are assigned to the last discharge-relevant document item of the same material in the route. In this case the system displays a gain/loss indicator. Unassigned discharged quantities (gained or prior-to-load quantities) are not taken into account.

  • If shipment costing is based on discharged quantities the opposite is true.
