Component documentation Deploying, Updating and Undeploying a J2EE Application  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

You need to deploy your application on a J2EE Engine in order to use its functionality. You can do this with the functionality provided in the Deployer tab of the Deploy Tool.

Note

By default, if you make an EAR in the Assembler tab, the resulting EAR will be displayed in the Deployer tab.

With the Deploy Tool you can also update and undeploy your applications.

Features

You can use the Deployer tab for:

·        Loading, Unloading and Refreshing an Application – use this to load, unload or refresh J2EE applications in the Deploy Tool.

·        Loading a J2EE Application Component – use this to load separate J2EE application components instead of whole EARs.

·        Application Deployment Properties Management – use this when you want to edit or specify the J2EE Engine specific properties for the application.

·        J2EE Components Deployment Properties Management – use this to set deployment properties for the J2EE application component.

·        Editing the Substitution Properties – use this to manage the substitution properties in a J2EE application or a J2EE application component.

·        Getting a Deployable EAR – use this when you want to save under a different name the J2EE application archive file that is specific for the SAP’s J2EE Engine XMLs.

·        Deploy, Update and Undeploy – describes how you deploy, update or undeploy your J2EE application or application component.
