Renaming a Custom Controller 

You can change the name of a custom controller at a later stage. A wizard is available for this function.

Prerequisites

You have already created a custom controller.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the Web Dynpro Explorer, place the cursor on the custom controller you wish to rename.

       2.      In the context menu, choose Rename.

       3.      In the first wizard window overwrite original name with the new name.

       4.      If there are Web Dynpro elements, other than the Web Dynpro component and the controller, that have references to the renamed custom controller, choose Next. If there are no such entities, choose Save + Finish in the first window. In the second window, check to what extent the name change is relevant to these Web Dynpro entities and make the appropriate selections. The grayed out objects need to be updated in the case of the name change; these objects cannot be omitted from the renaming.

Result

In the Web Dynpro Explorer, the custom controller is displayed with its new name. The custom controller files at file system level or in the Navigator view are also displayed with the new name.
