Recursive context nodes cannot be mapped. However, you can define mapping to recursive context structures. You do this by defining a recursion to the mapped node, rather than by mapping to the recursive node in the original context. The following figure explains this procedure:

The disadvantage of this approach is that the recursive child node is mapped implicitly. The mapping target (that is, the recursive original node ROC) is determined at runtime by searching for a recursive node starting with the original node OP that points to OP (that is, to itself) as a node to be repeated.
