Use

When you define a connection between two tracks, you make sure that the follow-on track gets the software component version from the source track.

Prerequisites

You are in the Landscape Configurator of the Change Management Service (CMS).

You have created the tracks APPL and TECHNO.

Procedure

To connect tracks with each other, proceed as follows:

...

       1.      Switch to the Track Connections tab page.

       2.      Choose Change to switch to edit mode. Choose Add.

A dialog window appears.

       3.      As the Source Track,select track TECHNO in the dropdown menu.

       4.      As the Target Source Track,select track APPL in the dropdown menu.

       5.      As the connection type, select Transport.

       6.      Choose Add.

Result

You have created a track connection from TECHNO to APPL. This connection appears in the list of existing track connections. After they have been approved by a quality manager, any software component versions of Technology that you have created with the assembly process in the TECHNO track appear in the import queue of the development system of the APPL track.
