Use

You can use the Deploy Tool to update an existing application. If there are additional components, they will be added. If errors occur during the update process, all changes are rolled back and the application remains unchanged.

Another way to update a changed application is to undeploy the old one and to deploy the new one.

Prerequisites

Before you can update a J2EE application, you must have:

·        Deployed that application on the J2EE Engine

·        Connected the Deploy Tool to the running J2EE Engine, where is the application.

Note

The connection is required only for the management of the application security users and groups.

Procedure

       1.      In your DLP project file, choose the Deployer tab.

       2.      Choose Deploy Deployment Update.

       3.      The status bar indicates the start and the result of the update process. For details, see the log file. To view the log file, choose Deploy View Log File.

Note

For more information about the log file, see Logging in the Administration Manual.
