You use the Log Viewer tab page to see the log messages from the SDM work steps.
You have already performed actions. For example, you have prepared Software Deployment Archives for deployment.
· You can display the work steps of the server and the graphical user interface (GUI). To switch between the logs, use the buttons Show Current Server Log or Show Current GUI Log.
· You can also use the Choose Other Log button to display other logs created by the SDM. You can choose from the following logs:

You can use the Find button to search for text strings within the logs. This helps you to navigate in the log.
The log files are all located under usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE_NAME>/SDM/program/log.
The following abbreviations are used in the file names:
· YYYYMMDD – Date of file creation.
· HHMMSS – Time of file creation.
