Component documentation Web Dynpro Content Administrator  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Overview

You can use the Web Dynpro Content Administrator to understand, manage and monitor the Web Dynpro content deployed on the J2EE Engine. This includes in particular Web Dynpro applications. When using adaptive RFC models, you can use this tool to define JCo destinations that were already created with the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.

With its broad functions, the Web Dynpro Content Administrator enhances the Visual Administrator.

When you deploy a Web Dynpro application that uses an adaptive RFC model, the required JCo destinations are created in the development component containing the RFC model. These JCo destinations can be maintained with the Web Dynpro Content Administrator. The data you define for the JCo destinations are transferred to the System Landscape Directory (SLD) and stored there.

You can also define additional JCo destinations that are not deployed in a  development component, irrespective of the Web Dynpro application. These JCo destinations are called „system-defined“ JCo destinations. You can find the detailed procedure under Creating JCo Destinations.

The functions of the Web Dynpro Content Administrator are listed below: These are:

·        Activate and deactivate Web Dynpro applications

·        Browse through the deployed Web Dynpro contents

·        Use the search function to find specific content types, such as Web Dynpro applications, Web Dynpro components, and Web Dynpro models.

·        Check the references defined between Web Dynpro applications and other deployed contents, such as J2EE libraries and J2EE services.

·        Maintain the defined JCo destinations needed for the adaptive RFC model.

·        Call the Web Dynpro application in a separate browser window.

·        Call the Web Dynpro application in a preview.

·        Check the connection to the assigned System Landscape Directory (SLD)

·        Call the user interface for the System Landscape Directory (SLD) used
