Use

Use the file chooser type of window to browse files and directories when you use the Deploy Tool. The file chooser window contains the general components described here. When necessary, new panes are added to enrich its functionality. These panes are described where appropriate.

Features

The file chooser windows have the following common components:

     Current Directoryfield – Lists the currently selected directory from the Directories pane.

     Directories pane - Provides a directories tree pane. Use the icons on the left of the pane to manage these directories.

Create a new directory.

Enter the new directory name in the dialog window that opens and click the OK button. The new directory appears as a sub-directory of the selected directory.

Use unique folder names.

Browse to and open the Java home directory.

Browse to and open the user directory. The default user directory is:

     For Windows OS:

<Drive>:/usr/sap<SID>/<INSTANCE_NAME>/j2ee/deploying

     For Unix based OS:

/usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE_NAME>/j2ee/deploying

Browse to the folder with the project file.

Goes back to the last selected folder. This enables you to switch quickly between two folders.

Go back to the previously selected folder.

Go to the next selected folder. You can use this option after you go back to the previously selected folder.

Go one level up in the directory hierarchy.

Open a list with the directories that you added with the Favorites Management button. Use it to access the directories that you use most frequently..

Open the Favorites dialog window. Use the Add button (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text) to add or the Remove button (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text) to remove the currently selected directory to/from the favorites list

Note

The folder is removed from the Favorites list only when you use the Remove button in the Favorites dialog window.

     Files pane - Lists the directories and the files in the currently selected directory from the Directories pane. The files are filtered according the selected filter from the Filterscombo box. Multiple selection is available in the Filespane.

     Filters combo box - Provides you with a filter to view only the file you desire in the Files pane.

     Address field - Lists the full path to the currently selected directory from the Files pane.
