Use

You can use the Assembler tab to edit the environment entries’ values, and to modify the references to the enterprise bean files in the same application. You can also synchronize the security role names and define additional roles. You must specify the transaction attributes on this tab. The access to methods must also be specified in accordance with the application security preferences.

All archive properties that are changed in the Assembler tab are saved in an alternative descriptor file. The descriptor file created in the J2EE Components tab has the name <archivename_extension_DD>, and the alternative descriptor file in the Assembler tab is named: <archivename_extension_AltDD>.

Activities

Using the Assembler tab, you can edit EJB JAR deployment descriptor, WAR descriptor, Application Client JAR descriptor and RAR descriptor.

Note

The properties that were created or changed on the Assembler tab have priority over the same properties set in the J2EE Components tab.

For information about how to edit the Descriptor properties, see Editing the Descriptor Properties.
