Function documentation Checking SLD Connections  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The System Landscape Directory (SLD) manages all relevant information about software products and components that are or can be installed in your system landscape. The assigned System Landscape Directory (SLD) stores the connection data of the JCo destinations.

To check if the System Landscape Directory (SLD) exists, select the pushbutton Check SLD  Check SLD connection in the toolbar of the Web Dynpro Content Administrator. A popup appears containing information about the host name, port number, user and URL.

·        Choose Test Connection to test the connection. A message appears in the status line telling you if there is a connection to the System Landscape Directory (SLD).

·        By pressing the pushbutton Start SLD you open the homepage of the System Landscape Directory in a separate browser window.

·        Choose Close to close the popup window.

Prerequisites

You have administrator authorization for the J2EE Engine and can access a System Landscape Directory.
