Several tools are available for monitoring the functions of the SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI):

     Monitoring System Availability with the NW Administrator.

     Java Application Response Time Management. See JARM.

     Java Management Extensions. See JMX.

     Generic Request and Monitoring Generator. See GRMG.

Monitoring using JARM

You can monitor DTR, CBS, and CMS using the JARM. Application Tracing is a very detailed tracing method.

       1.      Start the Visual Administrator tool and log on as an administrator.

       2.      Choose Cluster    Server    Services    Performance Tracing.

       3.      Select the JARM tab.

       4.      Choose Component Overview.

Monitoring using JMX

You can monitor DTR and CBS with JMX.

...

       1.      Start the Visual Administrator tool and log on as an administrator.

       2.      Choose Cluster    Server    Services    Monitoring.

       3.      Select the Monitoring Tree tab.

       4.      Select what you want to check:

     For DTR, choose Applications    sap.com/tc/dtr/enterpriseapp

     For CBS, choose Services    Component Build Service.
