Creating a UD Connect Source SystemLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have defined the connection to the data source with its source objects on the J2EE Engine in an SAP system, .

You have created the RFC destinations on the J2EE Engine (of an SAP system) and in BW in order to enable communication between the J2EE Engine and BW. Procedure


  1. In the source system tree in the Data Warehousing Workbench, choose Create in the context menu of the UD Connect folder.

  2. Select the required RFC Destination for the J2EE Engine.

  3. Specify a logical system name.

  4. Select JDBC as the connector type.

  5. Select the name of the connector.

  6. Specify the name of the source system if it was not determined from the logical system name.

  7. Choose Continue.

Results

When you use the created destinations, the settings that are required for communication between BW and the J2EE are created in BW.
