Settings for BW ModelingLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use the dialog box under Start of the navigation path Window Next navigation step Preferences End of the navigation path to specify how you want Eclipse to work. Here you can configure a number of settings for BW Modeling tools.

BW Modeling

You can change the following settings on the BW Modeling preferences page:

  • Search and Validation Settings:
    Option Explanation Default Value
    Max. Number of Entries in Result Set Specifies how many entries are displayed as matches (after a defined latency) in the Open BW Object dialog box and in the wizards for creating BW metadata objects. 200
    Input delay (msec) Specifies the latency time that elapses before entries are displayed as matches in the Open BW Object dialog box and in the wizards for creating BW metadata objects. 800
  • Input History Settings:
    Option Explanation Default Value
    Enabled Input Field History If you select this field, the objects previously displayed via the dialog of selected objects are displayed in the Open BW Object Dialog under Matching items. n/a
    Max. Number of History Entries Specifies the maximum number of many entries that can be displayed in the history view of the "BW Modeling" perspective. 10
CompositeProvider

You can change the following settings on the Start of the navigation path BW Modeling Next navigation step CompositeProvider End of the navigation path page.:
