Integration of Customs Duties SAP GTS Simulation in SAP Retail

Use

With its SAP Customs Management component, SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) provides a function which you can use to calculate duties for import transactions in a simulation. This is based on current international customs regulations and duties.

This function is integrated in the price determination for purchase orders in SAP Retail and connects it to the simulation calculation of the customs duties to be expected in SAP GTS.

Integration

  • The customs duties SAP GTS simulation function is called when you create a purchase order in SAP Retail.

  • The simulation is then automatically triggered and run in SAP GTS.

  • The result of the simulation is automatically included in the price deter mination of the purchase order.

Prerequisites

  • You can copy the supplied form routine FRM_KONDI_WERT_141 and adapt it to your needs. Within this form routine, the system calls a function module that buffers all the necessary data of the purchase order and the simulation function. When you exit the purchase order, the data is deleted. For more information, see the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG) for Sales and Distribution under System Modifications -> Routines -> Define Form Routines for Data Transfers (TA VOFM).

  • The following BAdI implementations must be activated: BUFFER_PO_DATA and BUFFER_PO_DATA_CLEAR. For more information, see the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG) under Sales and Distribution -> Foreign Trade/Customs -> SAP Global Trade Services – Plug-In or Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Foreign Trade/Customs -> SAP Global Trade Services – Plug-In, and then Customs: Retail: Call Customs Duty Calculation from Pricing with PO Data or Customs: Retail: Delete Buffer with PO Data for New Calculation Call .

  • Copy the supplied calculation formula 141 and adapt the copied formula to your needs. Create a condition type that uses the copied formula.

  • Then create a calculation schema that uses this condition type. For more information, see the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG) for Materials Management under Purchasing -> Basic Functions -> Conditions -> Define Price Determination Process -> Define Calculation Schema .

  • In SAP GTS the created price condition type must be assigned to a duty type in SAP GTS, and the duty type of the calculation result must also be assigned to a price condition type in SAP Retail.
