How to Set Up RFC Destination for HTTP Protocol
For HTTP protocol, you must set up the RFC destinations for the following:

SAP Support Portal
-
SAP Note Download
SAP Note 2738426
automates the configuration of new Support Backbone Communications needed via Task List.
It is recommended that you implement the above SAP Note and use the automation provided to create the needed RFC destinations automatically instead of following the manual procedure described below.
Procedure
How to Set Up RFC Destination (H Type) for SAP Support Portal-
Go to transaction SM59

Choose Create
-
Enter the following details on the RFC Destination screen:

Name of RFC destination
SAP recommends using the name SAP-SUPPORT_PORTAL
- Connection Type as H
-
Description
-
-
Select the Technical Setting tab and enter the following:
- Target Host
Enter the host you want to connect to. Enter the value as apps.support.sap.com
-
Service No.: Enter the port value as 443.
- Target Host

Select the Logon & Security tab and perform the following:
-
Under the Logon with User section, select the Basic Authentication radio button.
For the user and password, enter your Technical Communication User (also called Technical S-user) credentials. Please refer the SAP Note 2174416
for creation of Technical Communication User. -
Under the Security Options section, perform the following:

Select Active radio button for SSL

Select the value ANONYM SSL Client (Anonymous) for SSL Certificate.

- Target Host
Enter the host you want to connect to. Enter the value as notesdownloads.sap.com
- Target Host

Select the Logon & Security tab and perform the following:
